Sustainable Prisons

Carceri Sostenibili® (Sustainable Prisons) is a program of innovative actions for Italian penitentiaries conceived by MultiOlistica in collaboration with the Italian Forum for Health in Prison.

The aim of the project is to build a virtuous path of Sustainable Development that involves the penitentiary world overall, in order to allow the social and cultural growth of prisoners, through the efficient use of the available economic resources and by maintaining the quality and reproducibility of the environmental ones.

The new and strong points of the initiative (unique in its kind in Italy) lie in the size of the services offered and in the abundance of potential benefits for prisoners, the internal organization and the prison building structure.
